Reels made of laminated corrugated cardboard are a proven solution for distributing fiber optic cables. They provide effective protection for optical fibers during transport and installation, enable controlled, stress-free cable unwinding, and eliminate the need for fusion splicers and specialized tools in the field.
The system of reels has been optimized to enable quick installation of subscriber connections, seamless integration with fibre optic outlets and optical connectors, and efficient logistics – thanks to the use of compact InstaBox-style packaging.

Advantages of InstaReel and InstaBox packaging
Cardboard reels provide excellent protection for fiber optic cables against mechanical damage. Thanks to their cylindrical design, the cables are evenly distributed, which reduces the risk of bending and fiber damage.
Reels facilitate the easy use of optical outlets and connectors that have divisible outer bodies. Installers can effortlessly connect cables to systems without needing to disassemble them beforehand. This accelerates the installation process and enhances user convenience. Thanks to access to the reel’s interior, each product can be equipped with additional installation accessories.
Cardboard reels make the installation of fiber optic cables easier. Thanks to their design, cables can be quickly unrolled without the risk of tangling or damage. In contrast, using coils can be more time-consuming and problematic, potentially delaying project implementation.
Although the unit cost of winding the cable on a reel may be higher than that of loosely coiled cable, the benefits – such as reduced damage, shorter installation times, and fewer assembly errors – result in real savings over the entire project life cycle.

InstaReel Compact
The InstaReel Compact is a integrated solution for fiber optic installers, combining high functionality with an ecological form of packaging. Made of durable, laminated corrugated cardboard, the reel provides protection for the fiber optic cable during transport and installation while maintaining a compact size.
The product is equipped with OPTOMER’s patented OSC-LC divisible connector, installed on a blue 0.9 mm diameter fiber optic cable. This connector allows for quick assembly without the use of a fiber optic fusion splicer, while maintaining full compatibility with standard LC adapters. Its compact design makes it ideal for locations with limited installation space, significantly simplifying the installation process and reducing the time required for completion.
InstaReel Standard
A InstaReel Stanadard is made of durable, laminated corrugated cardboard, equipped with two OSC-SC divisible connectors.
The connectors are mounted in a staggered configuration on
a white 2-fibre G.657 A2 low fire hazard cable with a diameter of 2.8 mm.
The breakout point is secured with a heat-shrink tube containing an internal ripcord to facilitate quick removal. This tube protects both the connectors and the breakout point from moisture, dirt, and mechanical damage. Additionally, it serves as a pulling element, aiding cable installation in microducts and shafts.
The InstaReel Standard, designed with space for an optical outlet, enables you to provide the customer with a ready-made set featuring pre-installed connectors and an optical outlet, all prepared for direct connection at the installation site.
The use of OSC-SC divisible connectors allows for quick and safe installation without the need for fusion splicing. The staggered arrangement of connectors significantly reduces the diameter of the breakout, making it easier to pull the cable through tight microducts and hard-to-reach spaces.

InstaReel Max
The InstaReel Max, equipped with four OSC-SC divisible connectors arranged in a staggered pattern on a 4 mm diameter cable, is a practical and modern solution that meets the real needs of fiber optic installers.
The InstaReel is made of high-quality, laminated corrugated cardboard. Its carefully designed cylindrical structure, with a disc diameter of 295 mm and a height of 173 mm, guarantees optimal protection of the connectors and the spooled fiber optic cable against mechanical damage, minimizing the risk of fiber bends and breaks.
The capacity of the InstaReel Max is impressive – for a 2 mm diameter cable, the recommended winding length is 897 meters, with a maximum capacity of 997 meters. For a 4 mm diameter cable, the recommended capacity is 236 meters, and the maximum is 263 meters.
The distinguishing element of our product, apart from the InstaReel, is the innovative OSC-SC divisible connectors, arranged in a staggered pattern on the 4 mm diameter cable. The deployed connectors offer a significant technological innovation, enabling rapid and tool-free fiber terminations without requiring a fusion splicer.
